Spazio Visivo (Cavinato-Trevisi) (Mantova,1975-74)

Paolo Cavinato was born in Mantua in 1975 He studied set design at the Accademia Di Belle Arti di Brera. He is a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors. He received awards such as the Premio Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro and the Premio Arti visive San Fedele.
Stefano Trevisi was born in Mantua in 1974. He studied composition with Mario Garuti and Electronic Music with Francesco Giomi at the Conservatorio di Parma. His compositions were selected in several competitions, such as 29th, 33rd and 36th International Competition of Electroacoustic Music (Bourges), Gaudeamus Music Prize 2002 (Amsterdam), and Franco Evangelisti 2003 and 2006 (Rome).

Since 2006 they started a collaboration creating“Visual Space - Spazio Visivo”: a project where Cavinato’s sculptures converse with Trevisi’s sounds. They are “Living objects” created with materials like paper, wood, wax, clay and iron, malleable and interactive instruments, organic and natural elements.
Their installations have been exposed at Palazzo Libera Trento, Fondazione Pomodoro Milano, Fortezza da Basso  Florence, Palazzo Bellini Comacchio, Palazzo Te Matua, Galleria Testoni Verona, CVB gallery New York, Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Gazoldo degli Ippoliti, Istanbul Biennale 2005, PAC Milano, Palazzo Ducale Matua, Palazzo della Triennale Milano Fabbrica Borroni Milano,Biennale Postumia Giovani.
